BLACK DAY OBSERVED AT SHAH ABDUL LATIF UNIVERSITY

A protest rally was organized in Shah Abdul Latif University to sympathize with the Kashmiris against the Indian Invasion in their region. This Rally was led by Prof.Dr.Imdad Hussain Sahito, Dean of social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Chairman, Department of Media and Communication and Prof. Shahida Mangi, Provost Hostels (Girls). 

Addressing the protestants, Prof. Dr. Imdad Hussain Sahito condemned the attitude and policies of atrocities and genocide against the freedom fighters of Kashmiri People by the Indian Govt. On this day, seventy-two years earlier, Indian security troops occupied the Srinagar in blatant violation of human rights, fundamental freedoms, and democratic principles and norms. -Edited

Dr. Sahito sheds light on the current scenario of Kashmir. He said that since 5th August 2019, the people of Kashmir are being kept under full lockdown causing immense hardships for the people of Kashmir. He also appealed to the whole world to support the genuine cause of the Kashmiri people.

Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari stressed the United Nations that the Kashmir issue should be resolved by the U.N. He also appealed that the Muslim world should also play their due role in resolving this issue because the regional peace and security are under threat due to this.

Dr. Lashari further added that the present PTI government is pleading the Kashmir case effectively and assertively in the U.N and on all diplomatic fronts.

In solidarity with Kashmiri people, Syed Waqar Shah, Administrative Officer (Hostels), Ms. Asia Ruk and a large number of students of the hostels participated in the protest rally.
